President Bill Clinton to hold a keynote speech at 10th jubilee ABSL Summit

President Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, will hold a keynote speech at 10th jubilee ABSL Summit which will be held on 12-13 June 2019 in Warsaw.

The ABSL conference is one of the leading business events in Central and Eastern Europe, gathering over a thousand participants every year. Since 2010 it has been a unique platform for discussions, analysis and predictions about trends and impacts, among top-tier business leaders, politicians and economists. The highlight of each event is a conversation with a global format key note speaker, always a highly inspirational and thought-provoking individual of international recognition. Among special guests in previous years were Madeleine Albright, Tony Blair, Condoleezza Rice, David Cameron, Lech Wałęsa, Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, Jerzy Buzek and Mateusz Morawiecki.

This year the keynote speaker will be President Bill Clinton, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Clinton Foundation and 42nd President of the United States. The first Democratic president in six decades to be elected twice, led the United States to the longest economic expansion in American history, including the creation of more than 22 million jobs.

At the 10th jubilee ABSL Summit, President Clinton will outline political outlook and the biggest challenges for the next 10 years in global economics to help us define “The New Next”. In today's knowledge-based economy, what you earn depends on what you learn – said President Clinton in 2000, commenting on the growing demand for employees with advanced skills and the need to "put people first" and increase investment in education and training. We are now in a breaking point when new technologies and fast-changing labour market have a greater than ever impact global economy and future development. To face these challenges, we require cooperation on a strategic approach. President Clinton has always believed that we can do more together than any of us can do on our own, therefore he founded the Clinton Global Initiative to foster partnerships among governments, businesses, nongovernmental organizations and private citizens to turn good ideas into measurable results. 

After 10 years of ABSL activities, Poland became the prime location attracting significant FDIs, global investors and corporations, as the one of the leaders of economic growth in Europe. Business services sector in the country is characterized by a regular increase in employment and expansion of the scope of companies’ activity areas. This is a special moment for us, and during this jubilee we want to not only summarize the last decade of business development in Poland, but also think about the future scenarios of further development in the next years.
